Automatic Provisioning

Employees usually sign-in to a mobile app using the email and password or mobile number and activation code. An alternative to this is the IMEI provisioning. Here, the IMEI number of the device is added while creating the employee. So, when the mobile app communicates to the web APIs, it sends the IMEI to get associated with the company. At the field employee level, after a successful installation of the app, it recognizes them and provisions them and can start using the app without the hassle of login using email or phone number.

Note:

By default, this option is turned OFF which implies that the employees have to login either using phone/email. So, even if the IMEI is provided during the employee creation, the application does not recognize it unless it is explicitly turned ON. Even though it is convenient, it is not secure. Therefore, Spoors recommends that you refrain from using it in case you are dealing with sensitive information.
