External Activity

The external activity is a type of work activity that helps you complete a work activity without logging into the Effort platform. You can use external activity if you want a work activity to be performed by the external users. When you set the Activity Type as External Activity, the work activity link will be sent to the external users via email or SMS based on the configuration as shown below.

The users need to click the link and perform the activity. The external user doesn't need Effort credentials to complete the work activity. It is best used for managing workflows like new client onboarding, expense and claim management, etc.
